Yes, they bring you a skillet full of food and then ask if you would like more of anything on the skillet. It's yummy and similar to the food at the Hoop Dee Doo. It an get loud in there for dinner but is quiet for lunch. during dinner they cater to the kids with pony races and stuff like that.
HTH!

I am looking at a menu for whispering canyon cafe for lunch, I don't understand something. They show a all you can eat called canyon skillet, how does this work? Do they bring you more food or need to go up and get it?And then they show you entrees too? so you don't have to do the all you can eat??Also this is themed place like 50's prime time??Bruce----- Original Message -----From: Bruce ShermanSent: Saturday, February 23, 2008 3:47 PMSubject: Re: [travel-wdw] dinning
Terrie, thanks for the reply. Now here is this question, I am confused between the difference and similarities in the names. I went to the one with the Hoop de do, what is the difference between Fort Wilderness and the Wilderness Lodge? Are they sister resorts? I know the one with the hoop de do has a boat ride connection to the magic Kingdom,Bruce----- Original Message -----From: TerrieSent: Saturday, February 23, 2008 3:39 PMSubject: Re: [travel-wdw] dinning

So here are the places I am thinking of trying. I like to hear about your dinning experience and how close or far it is from any of the theme parks.Big River Grille at the BoardwalkThe food here is fair. It's overpriced and the atmosphere sucks. JMHOTrails end at the Fort Wilderness resort (how close or far from Wilderness lodge resort?)We love this place because of the price. If you are on the dining plan though, not enough bang for your buck.Grand Floridian Cafe at the Grand FloridianHaven't beenOlivia's cafe at Old Key WestWe haven't been there since it was a character meal.Turf Club at Saratoga SpringsHaven't been yet but might be good for lunch.Captains Grille at Yacht and Beach clubWe went here for my b-day last week. The menu is limited and I picked it because DH is on a diet. Nothing special.Whispering canyon cafe at wilderness lodgeAnother one of our faves!Bruce
